FractureThe light was overpowering, it penetrated the darkness as though nothing was there. Such an unpleasant pleasant feeling, light, after having seemingly aeons of darkness. The darkness was so inviting, it could cover up anything and make it as though nothing had happened. But the light, it brought pain and brought forth any unpaid for deeds, like an unforgiving sheriff let loose on a wanted criminal.
Then the light dimmed, objects came into sharp focus and a fierce pounding sensation was felt all over. A sigh was let loose, the released air became visible as frost nipped at every open orifice. Thoughts suddenly burst through, recollections of a recent dream, tangs of regret at prior actions and a deep fear. The fear was most powerful, it encompassed everything and eventually held a firm grasp over all other emotions. But the mind couldn't place why it was fearful, although suddenly the earth started to shake vio
A Vixen and Her CapeThe windswept fox glanced proudly back at her red cape before scuttling to the edge of the cliff. She gazed out at the beautiful expanse of wilderness before her, it was awash with white as a light snowstorm went on. "What do you all say to a bit of music?" he asked.
"Certainly," I answered.
"Oh yes, please do darling!" Tabitha exclaimed, "he's quite the maestro."
Christopher laughed, shaking his head.
"Now, now love, I'd not go that far."
He strode over to the piano as the other guests urged him on. Ida entered the room bearing a merrily steaming teapot and more crumpets.
"More tea sirs?" she inquired, shooting sideways glances at her
